Conference Philanthropy 2003 heads to Rosemont, IL

National Association of Philanthropic Planners will host their 6th Annual Conference on May 1-3, 2003 in the Doubletree Rosemont/O'hare Hotel.

At all NAPP conferences, the business of philanthropy meets the heart of philanthropy. Some of the best minds in the philanthropic world are slated for presentations, interactive sessions and panel discussions. Topics include creative planning techniques for high net worth individuals; dealing with unique assets; integrated steps to achieving happy charitable clients; the uniform principal and income ant; CRT versus private annuity; supporting organization versus a private foundation; among others.

Nationally recognized speakers include Barbara Culver from Resonate; Phillip Temple, Esq., from McCarthy, Fingar, Donovan, Drazen & Smith, LLP; James Smyth from Crotty & Smyth; Charles Collier, Senior Philanthropic Advisor, Harvard University; Laura Hansen Dean, Esq., Barnes and Thornburg. Top legal minds will present updates on how new tax and legislation can effect your business and clients.

Local Illinois professionals are invited to attend the entire conference at special low rates.

Regarding the heart of philanthropy, NAPPs traditional Conference PhilanthropySM project will see conference goers and their guests volunteer up to 5 hours of their services to local Rosemont/Chicago charities. Those who choose to participate not only enjoy giving their time, effort and heart to the community in which they meet, but take back home exciting ideas for service in their own communities.

For details of the full program agenda and to learn about each of the speakers, go to NAPPs Web site www.napp.net or call Amanda Simmons at (800) 342.6215. You do not need to be a NAPP member to attend. Registration is available online.

NAPP is a nonprofit group of independent financial planners and advisors, legal and tax professionals, financial services firms, family wealth counselors, and nonprofit planned giving officers committed to collaboration in a conference environment that brings the heart of philanthropy to the business of philanthropy.
