FreedomHub.com, a grassroots virtual community supporting patriotism in America, provides a way for Americans worldwide to show their support for our troops by participating in their online Support America Rally at http://www.SupportAmericaRally.com Participants are asked to register their support to the following statement:
I am proud to be an American. I support the men and women of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marines as they along with our British and coalition partners place themselves in harms way to protect and defend us against terrorism and to liberate the people Iraq."
Along with registering their support Rally members leave public messages of support, participate in discussions and read about patriotism in America. According to Robert Puffenberger the founder of FreedomHub.com, I recognize people disagree about the politics and morality of this war. Regardless of your opinion, everyone needs to understand we have young men and women away from their families and risking everything for us. Our hope is that by generating a large number of registered supporters we can show these men, women and their families that the vast majority of Americans stand behind them."
Based near Philadelphia, the cradle of liberty, FreedomHub.com is a grassroots website and virtual community supporting Patriotism in America. FreedomHub.com was founded by Robert Puffenberger. Like many Americans, Mr. Puffenberger recognized that a segment of the protesters opposed to the war in Iraq represented a decidedly anti-American agenda. This agenda overshadows a larger majority of patriotic protestors who simply disagree with the politics and manner in which this war was undertaken. Likewise, those who rally in support of our troops have been incorrectly branded as "Pro-War" hawks.
The mission of FreedomHub.com is:
To support patriotism and an understanding of the freedom of being an American.
While they disagree with those protestors with an anti-American or anti-troop agenda, FreedomHub.com is Not a "Pro-War" community. as Mr. Puffenberger described, I think people with reasonable humanity recognize that bloody horrors of war are always a tragedy. We dont make any commentary on this or any conflict other than to support our armed forces and the American principles they defend wherever and whenever they are in harms way."
Mr. Puffenberger continues, Beyond support for our troops in this conflict, we believe that many Americans take for granted the value of freedom simply obtained by being an American citizen. FreedomHub.com promotes patriotism by developing an understanding of American values and principles within a historical context. Over time we hope to provide a large resource of information to support this understanding. We will partner with any individual or organization or with similar objectives."
