Telemar signs agreement with Telenor for DVB/IP services

Telenor and Telemar are joining their skills and forces to develop and provide highly efficient Internet broadband services to customers within the coverage areas of the Thor satellites.

Telemar Broadband Services AB, a subsidiary of Telemar Scandinavia AB, has entered into an agreement with Telenor Satellite Broadcasting AS for the provisioning of DVB/IP services via the Thor satellites on 1º West.

Telenor will be providing satellite capacity as well as uplink facilities in Stockholm.
Telemar will provide the necessary DVB/IP infrastructure. Telenor and Telemar are joining their skills and forces to develop and provide highly efficient Internet broadband services to customers within the coverage areas of the Thor satellites.

With this agreement we will be able to provide a range of broadband services to customers in the Northern and Eastern parts of Europe, as well as to maritime customers in
