Aloha TableService chosen for Seasons 52
Dardens New Business Division to use Aloha's POS solution for new test concept
BEDFORD, TX -- Aloha Technologies, makers of Aloha point-of-sale software and information solutions, announced today that the New Business Division of Darden Restaurants, Inc. has chosen Aloha TableService as the point-of-sale solution for its new concept, Seasons 52. Darden, which owns and operates such popular favorites as Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones BBQ, is the countrys largest casual dining company.
Seasons 52 opened February 2003 in Orlando, FL. The new restaurant combines great-tasting, lower calorie food and professional service with a good value in a casually sophisticated atmosphere. The fresh grill and wine bar features seasonally inspired menus that include several new items each week to reflect the freshest products available, an international wine list, piano bar and warm contemporary design.
First and foremost, Seasons 52 is about being a great restaurant with terrific-tasting dishes and wines, all served with passion and pride," said Blaine Sweatt, president of Seasons 52 and Dardens New Business Division. But, it is also more than that -- with very creative, boldly flavored menu choices that taste great and yet are lower in calories because of the ingredients we select and the way that we prepare them."
This is a tremendous opportunity for us," said Martin Siebert, Alohas Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. We are confident that the superior functionality and ease-of-use that Aloha TableService is famous for will be an asset as Dardens exciting new test concept continues in the successful footsteps of their other concepts."
Aloha partnered with Ameranth Wireless to provide Seasons 52 with an industry leading, one hundred percent wireless POS system. In addition to providing wireless ordering, Ameranth designed their handheld computers to track food orders, monitor waitlists, handle payments at the table, and even provide calorie and nutritional information to the diners.
