ERIE, PA (PRWEB) April 4, 2003 -- The Frodis Co., a leader in automated file transfer software, announced the release of DropSite Courier? 3 and DSC Personal Edition. DSC 3 is the latest offering in their line of automatic file transfer utilities.

"DropSite Courier is a different sort of tool for service providers like printers and service bureaus" said developer Matt Mashyna. "It's a tool that provides a way for your customers to get files to you rather than the other way around. It's like giving them a self-addressed, stamped envelope." The "envelope" knows where to send the files with all the directory and password information embedded and encrypted in it. It's fool-proof.

DropSite Courier comes with a configuration application (Courier Config) which is used to make "Droplet" applications: DropSites. These DropSites are small, fully automated and self contained FTP applications that deliver any files which are dropped on them. The destination is determined with Courier Config. End user may be allowed to make some changes to a DropSite's settings. The ability to make changes is set up from Courier Config. You have complete control over which settings can be changed.

Not only does DropSite Courier deliver files, it can also compress them and send a list of files it delivered via e-mail. DSC has built in Zip compression and MacBinary encoding. Files can be compressed while keeping both Macintosh resource forks. Macintosh clients can also choose to use StuffIt compression if they have a licensed 6.5 Engine from Aladdin. Zip is the only compression option for Windows clients. Drop the archives on MindExpander or StuffIt Expander to restore them to their original state.

By popular demand we now offer DSC Personal Edition. DSC Personal Edition is like it's big brother without the branding or e-mail options. DSC Personal Edition is only $30!

Pre-flight Checks: Courier Config will check to make sure all the settings are right to log in, deliver the files, e-mail the file manifest and get help when your clients need it.

Branding: A custom about box with your info in it and a custom icon are part of the package. When your customers need help they can use the Help menu to reach a URL on your website for help.

Cross Platform: With DSC 3 you can create DropSites for both Macintosh 8.6 through OS X 10.1+ and Windows 95 and higher. Some features are not available for Windows clients.

Fully Operational Trial Copy: All our DropSite products offer fully functioning trials. You can test every feature before you purchase. Once you're satisfied you can instantly purchase a license key online to make non-expiring DropSites. Unlicensed DropSites are fully operational but expire after twenty days or twenty uses.

Pricing: DropSite Courier? 3 is available now for a limited time at a special price of $75. DSC Personal Edition is $30. A license allows you to make as many freely distributable DropSites as you wish, Courier Config is not distributable.
