LANAC Customers Make History at the Pinnacle Awards

Two LANAC Technology customers win coveted award from Microsoft Business Solutions

Chicago, IL-April 3, 2003-The 7th Annual Pinnacle Awards, held on March 21, 2003 in Orlando, Florida, were the highlight of Microsoft Business Solutions Convergence conference. Convergence is an annual premier user conference" for Microsoft Business Solutions customers and their partners. This year, a record 4,500 customers and partners attended. The Pinnacle Awards honors those Microsoft customers that have achieved outstanding levels of success with - and because of - their Microsoft Business Solutions system. This year there were 450 customers nominated to receive 12 awards in 8 categories.

The news that both of LANACs customers, AmeriKing and PEAK6 Investments, LP, were two of this years winners made history. Its the first time in the 7-year history of Convergence that Microsoft selected two winners from the nominations of one Partner. In addition, AmeriKing was recognized for the second time, having won a Pinnacle Award in 1999. LANACs focus on customer satisfaction made this wonderful news" said Hong Leng LANACs Vice President of Customer Services.

AmeriKing, located in Westchester, IL, received the Evangelism award. This award recognizes the customer who has evangelized Microsoft Business Solutions by sharing information with others and by helping others improve their solution. AmeriKing also received the Evangelism award in 1999. AmeriKing is one of the largest independent BURGER KING® franchisee in the world located primarily in twelve Midwestern and Southern states. The Company was formed in 1994 by a group consisting of independent BURGER KING® franchisees, former BURGER KING® Corporation (''BKC'') executives and The Jordan Company. AmeriKing is fiercely loyal to their Microsoft Business Solutions system and constantly attempt to enhance and improve their systems. The Evangelism Award was presented to AmeriKing by Lynne Stockstad, General Manager of the Product Management Group. In presenting this award to AmeriKing, Lynne said, " They are smart, wonderful people who know how to explain why Microsoft Business Solutions is the very best choice a company could possibly make in a business management system." In accepting this award for AmeriKing, Hernando Manrique, Vice President-Chief Information Officer, for AmeriKing said, When you are passionate about something, you always talk about that. PEAK6 Investments, LP located in Chicago, IL was presented the Excellence in Business Analytics award by Andy Kamlet, Director of FRx Marketing. This award recognizes the customer that best utilizes reporting and analytics within their organization leading to enhanced profitability, operation and management. PEAK6 was founded in 1997 by two individuals with a passion for technology, education and culture. They are a technological leader in the options trading market. PEAK6 focuses on using business analytics as a consistent and disciplined approach to risk.
