NEW SERVICE OFFERED IN METRO DENVER FOR SENIORS AND THEIR FAMILIES LOOKING FOR BENEFITS AND RESOURCES.

THIS LOW-COST SERVICE OFFERS A PERSONALIZED PACKAGE OF SERVICES THAT ARE OFFERED EITHER FREE OR AT A VERY LOW COST. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE TRANSPORTATION, HOME-DELIVERED MEALS, SENIOR CENTERS AND LOW-COST MINOR HOME REPAIR.

Thank you for choosing Hometown Resources for Seniors for information regarding services and benefits available to seniors in your area.

The enclosed materials, describe a wide variety of programs, covering such services as delivered meals and transportation to minor home repairs and public housing for seniors. We strive to provide as comprehensive a list as possible concerning the categories of services listed below. It is possible however that a particular program may have been omitted. If you become aware of such a program that might benefit our other clients, please let us know.

In creating the list of available programs and services, we tried to concentrate on those that are provided by or funded through the government or non-profit agencies. In other words, those programs that are provided free or at a very low price. There are, for example, many fine organizations that provide round-the-clock nursing care or will deliver as many home-cooked meals as you are willing to pay for. For a list of these types of agencies you can contact The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) at 303-455-1000, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) at 303-830-2277, or you can pick up a copy of The Seniors Blue Book at any Senior Center.

Your personalized information packet includes information that pertains to you based on the information you provided on the profile sheet you returned. Everyone will receive information regarding services provided by the state, but you will only receive information about services that are provided by the county and city or town in which you live. Please be aware that certain cities and counties provide more services to seniors than others. For example a service that may be available in Adams County may not be available in Arapahoe County. Other than a general information sheet, information concerning federal programs (i.e. Social Security and Medicare) is not provided.

Please note that some programs have age or income requirements, so please make sure you meet those requirements before applying. Also, changes in programs may have occurred without our knowledge. It is always best to contact the program provider before applying.

Information in this packet pertain to these types of services:

Food/Nutrition   Transportation   Employment        General Assistance           Referral
Home Needs      Senior Centers   Housing        Medical Services

Once again, thank you for choosing Hometown Resources for Seniors. We sincerely hope that this information will help you in your search for those services and programs that you need and deserve. If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate in contacting us.
