To help understand the problem of bioterrorism in a way that could be readily understood, Dr. Holmes'
first novel, 'The Medusa Strain', is being closely followed by his non-fiction analysis on the subject, 'Spores, Plagues, and History: The Story of Anthrax'; both books are published by Durban House, the latter to be available in September, 2003.
The Medusa Strain is a finalist in 'Fore Word' Magazine's 2003 'Book of the Year' Awards for fiction. The winner will be announced at the Los Angeles 'Festival of Books' at the end of this month.
'Spores, Plagues, and History' is the only published book on the history of Anthrax.
