Seek Systems Announces 4300F Redudant Fibre RAID System

Seek System has released for shipment the 4300F all fibre RAID family that is a unique combination of 2gb performance, small (2U0 footprint, and low price point.

Woodinville, Washington -- March 31, 2003 -- Seek Systems, Inc., provider of FasFile Adaptive RAID, Garrison EIDE RAID, and solid state storage products, has today announced the 4300F Redundant Fibre RAID systems. The 4300F family combines the latest in 2gb fibre technology with easy to manage storage software at an aggressive price point.

The 4300F storage arrays contain redundant fibre controllers and twelve disk drive bays in a 2U-rack mount sleeve. Additional 2U 12-bay disk expansion racks are easily added to scale the systems to 32TB. Also included is the installation and management software for NT, W2K, Linux, and Solaris operating systems. All systems sub-assemblies (controllers, power supplies, fans, and disk drives) are hot swappable for continuous operation. In addition to highly scalable arrays, the 4300F also supports a large number of RAID sets and up to 512 LUNs.

Pricing for 1.75TB arrays (controllers, 24 x 146GB disks, in two 2U racks) begins at $42,642 and 3.5TB begin at $71,664. Availability is 2-3 weeks ARO.
