Marson Energy Named to Environmental Protection Agency's Combined Heat and Power Partnership
Marson Energy has been named an industry partner in the Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) Combined Heat and Power Partnership. The Partnerships mission is to promote the use of combined heat and power (CHP) technologies which are energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Brackney, PA -- April 7, 2003 -- Marson Energy has been named an industry partner in the Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) Combined Heat and Power Partnership. The Partnerships mission is to promote the use of combined heat and power (CHP) technologies which are energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
According to the EPA, The average fossil fuel power plant in the United States is only 33 percent efficient. Two-thirds of the energy used to generate power is vented as waste heat. CHP can more than double that efficiency, thereby reducing the amount of fuel burned, and pollution created, per unit of energy."
Marson Energy offers a range of CHP products that allow organizations to generate power on-site and use the waste heat for heating, cooling or manufacturing processes.
John Demaree, president of Marson Energy said, Not only does CHP reduce fuel consumption and cut costs, it improves power reliability and security. Plus, CHP reduces the impact of power generation on the environment."
When CHP is used as distributed or on-site generation it also reduces the up to 20% power loss that occurs when electricity must travel from a central utility to the end user over transmission lines.
Were proud to be a leader in the move to CHP by both industry and the utilites. The environmental benefits and cost-savings of CHP are clearly significant," said Demaree.
Marson Energy provides a full line of generation services including plant construction, development, consulting and financing to industrial users, utilities and other clients. Marson Energy's turnkey power solutions have been implemented throughout the United States. For more information about Marson Energy, please visit www.marsonenergy.com.
