Improving Security With New Packaging Processes
Trenton, N.J. -- Hughes Enterprises will host the first regional Packaging Expo from 9 a.m. -- 5 p.m. on June 9, 10 and 11 at its facilities, 2 Industrial Drive, Trenton.
With increasing focus being placed on security and related issues, companies of all sizes are looking for expert help in upgrading their shipping and packaging processes and equipment," said Neal Magaziner, Executive Vice President of expo host Hughes Enterprises. So we thought it would be a good idea to actually demo the latest technologies in secure packaging for companies in the area."
With the help of partner Progressive Handling Systems, Hughes has constructed several shipping and packaging lines so expo attendees can see how each piece of equipment works in operation.
The event is open to top-level executives, plant managers, and anyone with direct responsibility for shipping and packaging equipment and systems purchases in organizations looking to better protect their products from damage and tampering.
In addition to the line demos, attendees can investigate specific equipment and ask detailed questions of manufacturers reps who will be showcasing their products and systems, too. Representatives from Sealed Air Corporation, 3M Company, Combi Packaging Systems, Storopack, Samuel Strapping Systems, Packaging Aids Corporation, Weber Marking Systems, Progressive Handling Systems, and Wulftec International will be at the expo June 9-11.
"The decision to automate any process comes down to a combination of quality, safety, ergonomics and cost-benefit analysis," Magaziner said. But, while automation was once the bastion of giant corporations, the new systems and designs that you will see at the Expo have benefits to even the smallest packaging operation."
