VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - Coastal Training Technologies Corp. (www.coastal.com), a leading publisher of workplace training resources has teamed up with former director of the Region VIII OSHA Training Institute, Joe Teeples, to present a 90-minute Homeland Defense for Business seminar, in Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles, in April.

Teeples has a combined 25 years of experience in the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) community. In addition to his work with the Region VIII OSHA office, Teeples also served as the Security Officer and Director of Plans and Security for military communities overseas, and has extensive experience in the realm of Force Protection" -- the military term for Homeland Defense.

The seminar is open to business, industry and military leaders who are tasked with workplace/facility security. In addition to the seminar, the half-day event includes a breakfast, an OSHA update, and a question-and-answer session with Teeples. Seminar topics include:

- Identifying the three phases of Homeland Defense for businesses
- Identifying potential sources of terrorist threats to organizations
- Examining the role of Federal and State Agencies with regard to Homeland Defense
- Discussing types of weapons of mass destruction used by terrorists
- Exploring the development an emergency action plan
