KITTY HAWK CARGO LAUNCHES SERVICE FROM SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Kitty Hawk Cargo, the scheduled freight subsidiary of Kitty Hawk, Inc. announced they have launched service from a new facility at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Service began Monday, April 7th.

DALLAS, TEXAS (April 8, 2003) -- Kitty Hawk Cargo, the scheduled freight subsidiary of Kitty Hawk, Inc. announced they have launched service from a new facility at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Service began Monday, April 7th.

Kitty Hawk Cargos new operation will serve the entire Northern California market and is located in the West Cargo area at SFO. The 65,000-square-foot shared facility has 14-dock doors and is owned by Singapore Airlines. Previously Kitty Hawk Cargo served the Northern California market from Mineta San Jose Airport.

Kitty Hawk Cargo currently handles 15 tons of freight daily in the Northern California market, which reaches south beyond San Jose, east to Reno, Nevada, into southern Oregon as well as convenient connections with a host of international destinations.

By moving our operations to San Francisco International Airport, we are closer to our customers by 30 minutes," said Toby Skaar, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Kitty Hawk Cargo. Were able to provide our customer a later drop-off time and an earlier arrival. We also will be able to provide quicker, more efficient service, with less handling. This is a very positive change for both Kitty Hawk Cargo and our customers."

Kitty Hawk officials scouted the region for a new facility for six months before inking the SFO space.

Kitty Hawk Cargo also serves the California market from Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario Airport and San Diego Airport.
