CCSU Battle of the Bands Concert Benefits Foodshare

A Battle of the Bands Concert will take place at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) to benefit Foodshare. The event will be held on Friday, May 2nd at the CCSU Alumni Hall @ 4:00 pm.

May 2nd Charity Rock Event a part of Rock Against Hunger Tour

West Hartford, CT - April 10, 2003 -- A Battle of the Bands Concert will take place at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) to benefit Foodshare. The event will be held on Friday, May 2nd at the CCSU Alumni Hall from 4:00-11:00 pm. The charity concert will feature bands from throughout New England. In lieu of admission tickets concertgoers who donate non-perishable food items will be admitted free of charge. All items collected will be donated to Foodshare.

The West Hartford based rock band Interuption is coordinating the Rock Against Hunger tour. The band has been donating their time to Foodshare and other local charities. Interuption organized and performed in another rock fundraiser held last June at the Webster Theater in Hartford. The event benefited the Anti- Defamation Leagues Diversity training program called "World of Difference." The band's lead singer, Adam Asher, said, "We love to play and if we can help a good cause at the same time we are happy to do it." Lead guitarist, Mike Davidson, said, "There are too many people going without food in our own backyard...our goal is to create awareness."

The Rock Against Hunger tour coincides with the April 2003 release of Interuptions second CD called "The Correct Way to Fall." This new release has been receiving radio play in Hartford, Connecticut.

On November 1, 2002 Interuption released a five cut EP of the band's latest material.

In February 2002 Interuption produced their first CD called "Our Sophomore Effort." The band features Adam Asher on guitar and vocals, Mike Davidson on lead guitar and back up vocals, Zack Downes on drums and piano and James Losee on bass guitar.
