Orvin Kimbrough to Keynote NBA ECHO Founders' Day Banquet
There will not be a dry eye in the house when Orvin Kimbrough, executive director of Faith Beyond Walls, steps away from the microphone, according to organizers of the NBA ECHO Emergency Childrens Home Founders Day Banquet taking place May 3 at the Millennium Hotel in St. Louis.
Orvin is a powerful speaker," said Rev. Tim Carson, chair of the Founders Day Committee. Hell share details of his life story, including memories of growing up in a home without a father and, at age 8, finding his drug-addicted mother dead on the floor of their home.
Hell recall the day when, at 17, he came to NBA ECHO and, finally, hell describe how, with help from the staff at NBA ECHO, he was able to build a future that includes a wife, a young daughter, two graduate degrees and a successful career.
Orvins life story will tug at your heart at the same time it causes you to shout for joy."
