April 17, 2003 - Author Annette Gisby exposes the horrors of the mentally ill in a series of stories available at absolutely no cost to readers.

The heroine of Gisby's recently released novel, "Drowning Rapunzel", was just released from a mental hospital. Beth has two major fears, that she will be sent back there and that the visions which caused her hospitalization will return. They do and this time Beth sees murders before they happen. No one believes her, least of all the police and she becomes the main suspect in the murder investigations. Then she has the most disturbing vision of all. She will become the next victim...

The free stories will compliment the book and are available from "Beth's Journal", a fictional account of Beth's time in the hospital which can be read on the Drowning Rapunzel website.

"These are scenes that don't appear in the book, but that I hope will give a new dimension to my novel," says Ms. Gisby. "Beth wanted her story told and that's what I'm doing."

Annette Gisby is also the author of the contemporary novel, "Silent Screams", and a short story and novella collection, "Shadows of the Rose". She has won the Not the Usual Way Award of Excellence three times for her help and support of fellow authors. She lives in London along with enough books to fill a small library.
