Chosen Group Inc. Splashes Into Spring With Simple Shaving Tips for Women, Men

More than 70 million men and women shave with a blade or razor, but many of them shave incorrectly, resulting in unsightly nicks, bumps and burns.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, April 17--More than 70 million men and women shave with a blade or razor, but many of them shave incorrectly, resulting in unsightly nicks, bumps and burns. Why? Many aren't armed with the right information to make this important grooming task a pleasant experience.

"When it comes to shaving, many men and women often wonder why they're not getting a smooth comfortable shave," says Emerson Hall, president of Chosen Group Inc., maker of TruBody Shaving Gels. "Many get discouraged and use products that may harm their skin."

Chosen Group Inc., maker of TruBody Shaving Gels www.trubody.com splashes into spring with a splendid array of shaving gels for men and women, and offers the following tips guaranteed to help those seasoned, and novice shavers.

Shaving Tips For Men

  • Wash your face and neck with soap and warm water to remove oils from the hair and skin. Rinse, but do not dry face or neck. The shaving gel is most effective on moist skin.

  • Apply an ample layer of shaving gel (approximately the size of two grapes) to the areas of your face and neck to be shaved until skin is lubricated. Place extra gel on the areas of the face and neck especially sensitive to shaving.

  • Use long, even strokes in a downward direction with a sharp razor. Shave with a sharp double blade razor containing a moisturizing strip. Rinse razor often with hot or warm water to remove hair and excess gel.

  • Any gel remaining on your face upon completion of shaving, can be gently spread over the shaved skin as an after-shave skin conditioner. Rinse face and neck with warm and then cold water. See how great your skin feels and looks. Do not use after-shave lotions. Most after-shave lotions contain ingredients that are irritants to many skin types. First-time users should consider applying extra gel on their face and neck for better moisturizing and shaving results.
Shaving Tips For Women

  • Wash legs, underarms or bikini area with soap and warm water to remove oils from the hair and skin. Rinse, but do not dry the areas to be shaved. The shaving gel is most effective on moist skin.

  • Apply an ample layer of shaving gel (approximately the size of one, two or three grapes, depending on the areas to be shaved) until the skin is lubricated. For best results, apply gel and shave one leg at a time, then apply gel on other leg to achieve maximum lubrication.

  • Apply extra gel on areas of the skin especially sensitive to shaving. Use long, even strokes with a sharp razor. Rinse razor often with hot or warm water to remove hair and excess gel.

  • Any gel remaining on the shaved area upon completion of shaving can be spread over the skin as an after-shave conditioner. Rinse shaved areas with warm water. See how soft and smooth your skin feels and looks.
