LATKA & FRIENDS FORM PACK TO FIGHT CANCER

Community canines join company team to raise funds for Dogswalk Against Cancer

New York, NY -- Latkas De-licious Doggie Treats, a new brand of all natural home baked dog treats, is forming a company team to encourage New Yorkers and their dogs to register for the 2003 American Cancer Society's Dogswalk Against Cancer. The annual walk-a-thon, which takes place on Sunday, May 4th in both New York Citys Riverside Park and in Rockland Countys Bear Mountain State Park, is presented by the American Cancer Society and raises funds for the fight against human and animal cancers.

Led by team captain Latka, the Latkas De-licious Doggie Treats Dogswalk Team will bring together city canines and their human companions to walk as a group in Riverside Park. Team members will receive a special doggie bag" filled with de-lightful goodies including samples of Latkas De-licious Doggie Treats and breakfast snacks (for people) along with samples and gift items provided by Latka and neighborhood businesses.

Individuals interested in joining Latkas Team must first register for the American Cancer Society's Dogswalk Against Cancer event. Registration forms and more information can be obtained by calling the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345. Individuals can also register online at www.cancer.org (keyword search: Dogswalk"). Last May, while still a young puppy, Latka first walked with company owner Beth Goldberg in the 2002 American Cancer Societys Dogswalk Against Cancer. This year, the pair will be walking to raise funds in memory of a close friend who recently lost her battle against

cancer. Raising funds as participants in this years Dogswalk holds special meaning for me," said Goldberg. I am grateful to have a way to honor my dear friends memory and to help in the ongoing fight against cancer. I hope that by forming a company team, Latkas
De-licious Doggie Treats will help to encourage others to take part in this special fundraiser."

As an entrepreneur, Ms. Goldberg is committed to doing well by doing good. Though Latkas De-licious Doggie Treats is just few months old, the business has already made in-kind and cash donations to help raise funds and awareness for animal welfare organizations such as Stray from the Heart, F.L.O.R.A.L. (Friends & Lovers of Riverside Area Life -- the organization that oversees the 72nd Street dog run in Riverside Park), Animal Haven, Pets Alive and the New York C.A.C.C. (Center for Animal Care and Control).
