Wizdom provides Department of Defense Architecture Framework
(DODAF) training for FEAC Institute
Naperville, IL, April 22, 2003 - Wizdom recently completed one major course, part of the overall training sessions of the FEAC Institutes Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF) Certification. The Winter 2003 session was the second of six sessions completed in the six-course DODAF Certification training program.
Wizdom, a pioneer in enterprise architectures and frameworks is focused on Activity Modeling, Data Modeling, all notations of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and architecture framework team formation for managing successful projects.
A future vision of the U.S. DoD is an enterprise Architecture Framework (DODAF), which will serve to link the development of all DoD business and weapon systems in a way that will insure interoperability, network centric warfare and a more digital battlefield.
According to the GAO, DOD has undertaken a challenging and ambitious task to, within 1 year, develop a department wide blueprint for modernizing its over 1,700 timeworn, inefficient, and nonintegrated business processes and supporting Information Technology (IT) assets. Such a blueprint, commonly called an enterprise architecture, is an essential modernization management tool."
To support this effort, the Federal Enterprise Architecture Certification (FEAC) Institute has established a curriculum for the Contractors to the Federal Government, which results in certification of the student in EA and satisfies requirements for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Felix Rausch says, "The Wizards have brought a teaching dimension to the course which is extremely well received by every type of student."

Wizdom is pleased to have a role in training a new generation of Government and contractor leaders in application of enterprise architecture principles," said Dennis E. Wisnosky, Wizdom
founder. The outstanding evaluations that we have received, is testimony to both our success and the need for the FEAC Certification Program."
This Certification program is geared specifically to DoD employees and contractors based upon the requirements of the DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF). The program covers the philosophical, business and technical and principles of the DODAF in depth and requires the students to complete a real EA from their work environment including:
The Operational View, which describes and interrelates the operational elements, tasks and activities, and information flows required to accomplish mission operations
The Systems View, which describes and interrelates the existing or postulated technologies, systems, and other resources intended to support the operational requirements
The Technical View, which describes the profile of rules, standards, and conventions governing systems implementation
