SPARTA, NJ (PR WEB) April 23, 2003 -- Bachmann Software announced that its PrintBoy mobile printing software will be included with the new Palm(tm) Tungsten(tm) C handheld from Palm, Inc., introduced today. This is the first Palm branded handheld to offer PrintBoy on the in-box Software Essentials CD.

PrintBoy, Standard Edition will allow users to print DataVizs Documents To Go(r) documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as well as information from the standard Palm OS(r) applications such as Memo, Date Book, To Do List and Address Book. Using PrintBoy, Tungsten C handheld owners can produce and share high-quality printouts of their most crucial files via infrared, Wi-Fi or other network connection.

With the new built-in Wi-Fi networking capabilities of the Tungsten C handheld and Bachmann Softwares PrintBoy software, printing to shared network printers from Palm Powered(tm) handhelds is easier than ever before. This latest version of PrintBoy includes enhanced Network Printing via the free PrintBoy Server web service. With PrintBoy Server, customers can register and configure office printers at www.print-boy.com, thus removing the need to perform printer driver configuration on their wireless Palm Powered handheld.

We felt strongly that including software that helped demonstrate the capabilities of Wi-Fi were a critical requirement for this product," said Paul Osborne, senior product manager for Palm Solutions Group. We have been very impressed with the printing features of PrintBoy, and we are pleased to offer this software to our Tungsten C handheld customers."

With the arrival of the Tungsten C handheld, Palm Powered handheld users are able to easily connect to and utilize essential network resources such as the World Wide Web and e-mail,"(1) said Glenn Bachmann, president of Bachmann Software. Our newest version of PrintBoy enables Tungsten C handheld users to truly participate in todays networked world by providing instant access to shared network printers found in offices, schools and homes around the world."

Bachmann Software is providing Tungsten C handheld owners with an opportunity to upgrade to the full-featured Bachmann Utilities for $29.99 at its website www.bachmannsoftware.com. Bachmann Utilities adds database printing, as well as essential mobile file management functions that users take for granted on their desktop PCs, enabling a wider range of business functions to be performed while away from the office.
