Igor Stravinsky's never-before published works
"The Schhol of Music" - an academic book publisher based in St.Petersburg, Russia proudly present's first publication in it's new series "Treasures of Saint Petersburg Musical Archives".
The series "Treasures of Saint Petersburg Musical Archives" is a joint project between The School of Music" publishing house and the Russian Institute for the History of the Arts. Leading specialists from the Institute study the tremendous collections of music and related materials kept by various museums, libraries and research centres.
We are proud to present the first book in this series - "Igor Stravinsky's Orchestrations of Beethoven's and Musorgsky's Song of the Flea" (ISBN 5950005716).
The book has been written by a leading specialist from the Institute, Dr. Arkady Klimovitsky, and the English translation is edited by the well known Professor Stuart Campbell of the University of Glasgow, Scotland, one of the authors of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians.
