You Can Visit the Wounded Marines at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Just Like I Did
Dr. David Chananie visited the wounded Marines who fought in Iraq at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD last week. He learned any member of the public may do so. Here's how you can.
WASHINGTON, DC: Dr. David Chananie visited the wounded Marines who fought in Iraq at Bethesda Naval Hospital, in Bethesda, MD, last week. He learned anyone can visit them, from 11 AM to 8 PM. All anybody has to do is call the Marine liaison office to make arrangements and an escort will be provided. The phone number is (301) 295-6111. His escort told him the guys really enjoy having visitors.
Dr. Chananie gave each Marine an autographed copy of his Writers Digest award winning book Not Yet At Ease: Photographs of Americas Continuing Engagement With the Vietnam War. I gave them Not Yet At Ease to say 'Thank You for their service in Iraq. They did for me what I couldn't do for myself - eliminate that regime."
Dr. Chananie describes the experience in the Essays" section on www.NotYetAtEase.com. The experience may be reproduced electronically provided it is done completely and without modification.
