April 23, 2003 -- Los Angeles, CA. Arizonas rap 'n roll innovators are kicking off their national 43-date tour in support of the release of Rock It Science, their debut Suburban Noize Records release. Set to drop April 22, 2003, the album features 14 hard hitting phunk punk tracks that will get the party started. The new single, "Everyday" is currently impacting radio, receiving spins at KZON in Phoenix. "We come to the party and we rock it," says Junkeez front man, Soulman.
Known for their distinctive pressure-cooked desert "phunk," the Junkeez, through constant touring, self-promotion and no radio support, has become an underground phenomenon. Their potent mix of phunk-punk rap 'n roll combined with elements of hip-hop, has helped the band maintain their incredible fan base. "What we do is music for everybody, we dont come with any message except 'have a good time'," Soulman explains.
Signing with Suburban Noize Records (home of the world-famous Kottonmouth Kings) earlier this year, was the first step in their maintaining their forward momentum. "Suburban Noize is a label that works outside the mainstream," explains label president Kevin Zinger. "We need artists that know how to work together and, most importantly, rock live. Bringing it to the people direct through the live show is how we sell records and the Junkeez bring it hard." SRH Productions, one of Southern Californias leading lifestyle companies, has partnered with Suburban Noize Records to include special promotions supplying clothing for give-always.
