Underground Beat Online gave Live At CBGBs an excellent review and sited the CD as a head banging, mosh-pitting, throw yourself against the wall album". On-line label Dare Devil Records said the groove hammer is once again pounded like hell, simple but kicking". 1340 mag maintain after listening to Live At CBGBs Superthrive are a hard rock band that features a female lead guitarist. While, that in and of itself is a rarity, it's even rarer that the female lead guitarist be any good. This live album proves that not all female lead guitarists suck. In fact, this one can throw down with the best".
Phenom Records contacted Superthrive to hire singer/rhythm guitarist Matthew Pedzick and lead guitarist Sue Karlik of Superthrive. Phenom is interested in having them participate and possibly collaborate with some of their upcoming artists on musical compositions.
Superthrive just debuted their live show in Brooklyn at Hanks Saloon. They will be following it up with a special engagement at Don Hills (511 Greenwich Street NYC) on Wednesday April 30th at 11:00PM.
