Red Jacket Releases Free Music From Radio Broadcast

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 29th, 2003 - Red Jacket, the New York City based alt-rock band, has released MP3s available for free download on their official website www.redjacketmusic.com. The songs were recorded live during an acoustic performance on The Outer World" radio show on Staten Islands WSIA 88.9 FM. Four songs are available for download: Hunted Rebirth" (A summer anthem"-The Village Voice), Stories Untold", Streets of Metropolis", and Tomorrows Dream".

Since we do acoustic performances every now and then, the band thought it would be a good idea to give people an opportunity to hear some of our songs arranged acoustically" says Singer/guitarist Lisa Bianco, We dont like to limit ourselves to playing our songs in one dimension or just as an electric band version. Its really quite challenging to perform these songs in a stripped down way and not have a safety net of feedback and noise to cover yourself if you mess up!"

WSIA 88.9 FM is located on the college campus of The College of Staten Island. The radio station is run by an all-student board of directors and transmits to all of Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn and New Jersey. Since its formation in the mid 1970s, WSIA has become a staple for introducing many local and unsigned bands in the New York City area.
