EX-D.C.DEMOCRATIC STATE OFFICIAL CALLS FOR STATE CHAIRMAN TO RESIGN, AND APOLOGY TO AFRICAN AMERICANS.

Former Washington D.C. Democratic State Committeeman, Arthur H. Jackson Jr of Ward 8, has called upon the D.C. Democratic Party Chairman to resign in the mist of his "insulting" and degrading remarks about Slaves deserving to counted as three fifths Amercan Citizens.

The former D.C. Democratic Offical has released the following statement. "Once again the Chairman of the D.C.Demcoratic Party has insulted a once loyal block of District Voters, African Americans. And his record as Chairman of the Party has reflected total insensitivity to the core groups which are crtitical to our defeating George Bush in 2004.

Mr.Neverson opposed a resolution , which I introduced to keep the District's only Public Hospital(D.C.General Hospital) open, he opposed reprimanding Democratic Mayor Tony Williams for raising funds for Republican Connie Moran and he even opposed a motion for "full funding of education for our children in the D.C Public Schools, sponsored by former D.C. Supertintendant Barbara Lett Simmons. And his statement in the City Paper supporting African Americans being three fifths American Citizens is insensitive and insulting to every African Amercican Family and an embrassment to the Democratic Party.

Therefore I have requested that City Democratic Party Elected Officials seek Mr.Neverson's immediate apology and resignation. He should resign before Thursday State Committee Meeting , which is expected to draw national media atttention.

Should Chairman Neverson refuse to resign, and the State Committee refused to remove him, then I will work with progressive democrats in all eight wards and form a citywide reform slate in next year's party elections. And should our team win a majority , I would consider running for Chairman to restore sensitivity, compaasion and real growth to this party

Arthur H. Jackson Jr. is a former D.C. Democratic State Committeeman and former Maryland City Councilman (elected at Age 18, youngest in U.S.History) He is also Acting Cooridinator of a reform group of D.C. Democrats called" The D.C.New Democratic Alliance for Action".
