OurLittleNet launches Absolutely Safe campaign
OurLittleNet's Absolutely Safe campaign offers a safe way for people to share their free web pages with friends and family.
OurLittleNet announced today that it has added a revolutionary new concept to its local neighborhood web sites.
James Shaw, OurLittleNet founder explains, "Our Absolutely Safe campaign lets local residents share sensitive information such as photographs of their children with their friends and family, while hiding it from anyone else."
Residents can quickly and easily create pages on their local web site for thousands of reasons; to sell unwanted items, talk about their hobbies or share family photographs with those living far away.
As well as being free, all pages now have the option of being private. Anyone wishing to view a private page must be approved as a friend, a simple process that needs only to be performed once.
"Some parents told me that they weren't comfortable posting pictures of their children, even though we hide their email addresses," James continued. "One of my main goals was to create a local neighborhood site that everyone, including children, would be absolutely safe using, so when I heard this from parents we stopped and listened hard. Our Absolutely Safe system now satisfies those concerns."
OurLittleNet is also proud to be listed as the first Associate Member of the Internet Content Rating Association (www.icra.org). ICRA is the standards body concerned with rating internet content, a system that OurLittleNet uses on every page. As James explains, "Content rating is important because it enables your browser to restrict viewing of questionable content. It is becoming safer each day now for children go online."
OurLittleNet has 120 local web sites around Atlanta and Dallas offering free web pages for residents, churches, schools and organizations. Visit yours at www.OurLittle.net.
