MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN (PRWEB) May 2, 2003 - Strands Jewelry, Milwaukee, introduces a new line of eyeglass chains that do triple duty. Each chain in the elegant line can be used as an eyeglass chain, necklace, or ID badge chain.
Although they started out strictly for eyeglasses, the length and style of my chains lends itself to these other uses," says Strands owner and designer Anita Nagurka. Less expensive eyeglass chains tend to be made of small 'seed beads with a few accent beads near the end that attaches to the glasses. Strands chains, however, are beaded all the way around with high quality beads and can be worn as a single or doubled necklace with the design showing from all sides."
Since 9/11, many businesses have revamped their security procedures and now require employees to wear ID badges. The badges usually come with a utilitarian strap or cord. For the person who is required to wear a badge but wants to do it with style, the eyeglass chains/ID badge chains will lend some panache to the mundane ID badge. Each Strands chain comes with a small piece of hardware that allows it to be used with an ID badge as well as instructions for converting it.
Because of their versatility, fully beaded style, and the high-quality materials we use, our chains cost more to produce. But our customers think theyre worth it and are willing to pay a little more for them," says Nagurka.
These chains are a great example of the marriage of art and practicality. One might ask: What dont these chains do?
