Beach Cities Robotics Announces New Captains
Beach Cities Robotics Team 294 www.bcrobotics.org announced the election of new team captains. Redondo Freshman Marygrace Barron and Mira Costa Junior Richard Mills begin their new duties immediately.
Beach Cities Robotics Team 294 www.bcrobotics.org announced the election of new team captains. Redondo Freshman Marygrace Barron and Mira Costa Junior Richard Mills begin their new duties immediately.
Marygrace took a TIG welding class at El Camino Junior College just before entering high school, and became the team's only TIG welder. This summer Marygrace will be repeating the class to hone her skills, and four more team members will be joining her, including freshman Veronica Newman.
Richard Mills has been involved with the team since his freshman year, led subsystem teams and is a driver at the competitions.
The team captains helped make plans for the new season that include recruiting and mentoring new FIRST teams, junior high and elementary Lego League teams www.firstlegoleague.org, and providing a two-week summer Robotics' Daycamp for junior high students.
Beach Cities Robotics Team 294 is made up of members from two rival schools, Redondo and Mira Costa High Schools. The team competes in the international program of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology www.usfirst.org) . For more information please call Cheryl at 310-944-9334.
