Dr. Benovitz has been in private psychiatric practice for 22 years. His areas of specialization include psychopharmacology, geriatric psychiatry, schizophrenia, affective disorder, anxiety, adjustment, and somatoform disorder. Under his direction, Strategic Risk Management will help doctors and professionals negotiate the challenges of risk management. SRMs goal is to help clients reduce their liability to lawsuits and other challenges.

A board certified psychiatrist and licensed healthcare risk manager, Dr. Benovitz is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Florida Psychiatric Society and American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. He is also an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry with Nova Southeastern Universitys College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his private practice experience, he has extensive forensic psychiatry experience, has served as a case reviewer for numerous independent medical review companies and an advisor for Medicare and Medicaid programs.
