The 2003 IDRC East Coast Nationals kicks off the eastern portion of the nationwide championship drag racing series on May 25th

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (PRWEB) May 2, 2003 - The next stop on the 2003 IDRC Tour is Maryland International Raceway. The 2003 IDRC East Coast Nationals kicks off the eastern portion of the nationwide championship drag racing series on May 25th. With six classes of heads-up competition, the East Coast Nationals will surely see tons of record breaking action.

Ron Lummus and the RLR Racing Beetle will be present to defend the lead in the Outlaw Class, which will feature a sixteen car field to accommodate the countless East Coast Outlaws. Ari Yallon and Ali Afshar will continue their staunch rivalry in the Street Class, but both will have to face IDRC Champion John Shepherd. In addition, the Pro-Am classes will make their east coast debut giving many street racers the first opportunity at competitive IDRC heads-up racing.

Local crews and teams can also compete in the exclusive SR-1 Team Drag Challenge. Four car teams compete for $1000 and the title of "Fastest Crew." Outside of the non-stop racing action, the IDRC East Coast Nationals boasts a full compliment of entertainment off the track.
