Richard Gere meets Angel Orensanz

New York, April 30, 2003. Prominent representatives of the cultural establishment, the industrial sector, the film, the arts and the media met yesterday at the headquarters of the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York City's Lower East Side. (http://www.orensanz.org)

The entertainment, the silent auction and the dinner party had as its goal to fundraise for the Continuum Center for Health and Healing.

Journalist and photographers crowded the access to the Foundation building to welcome a parade of celebrities that culminated with the arrival of Richard Gere.

Other guests were Tom Frenton (HBO), Clarissa and Edward Bronfman, Bob Tisch, Pierre Lavai, Christy Turlington, Bill Sarnoff, Annie Leibovitz and Emma Bloomberg.

Richard Gere and Angel Orensanz chatted extensively about his prior visits to the Foundation and about movies and art, a moment reflected in the accompanying picture.
