Manufacturers now have control over where their products are sold on the Internet. With the AuthorizedSeller.com technology, only manufacturer approved web sites display an "Authorized Seller" seal. This tells online shoppers the site is authorized by the manufacturer. Through this seal, a manufacturer can also display "unauthorized sellers" to thousands of potential buyers. "Purchasing products from unauthorized dealers may result in voided warranties." For the first time, online merchants can "show" and "prove" theyıre authorized sellers. When a potential buyer clicks their seal, a "Verification Certificate" appears showing the authorized brands for that web site. A thorough authentication process between the manufacturer, AuthorizedSeller.com and merchant occurs before the merchant displays the seal.
