Third Annual Pink Ribbon Gala To Benefit the Winchester Hospitals Breast Care Center Saturday, June 14 at Bostons Park Plaza Hotel in Boston, MA

Winchester, MA -- The Third Annual Pink Ribbon Gala will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2003 in Boston at the Park Plaza Hotel at 7:00 PM. The event will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, live band, silent auction and a stellar fashion show by Boston designer David Josef. The silent auction will offer such items as sporting tickets, vacation packages and dinners at area restaurants

Annually 40,000 women in the United States die of breast cancer. Winchester Hospitals Breast Care Center is a unique facility located at Baldwin Park II in Woburn. This newly renovated facility provides integrated services at one location completely dedicated to breast-focused care. Winchester Hospital's Breast Care Center is a vitally important facility that allows women the opportunity to receive a full range of expertise in imaging, diagnostic and therapeutic services within a comfortable, aesthetic, professional environment.

On a typical weekday, the Center provides approximately 125 scheduled appointments which include surgical, oncology and radiation oncology consult visits, approximately 50 mammograms, 20 breast ultrasounds, four sterotactic guided biopsies and six ultrasound guided aspirations/biopsies.

Event Chair Deborah McDonough said, "Breast cancer is a cause that has touched many of our lives. We are looking forward to another great year and moving another step closer to finding a cure. The fight for breast cancer isnt over. Until we win the fight, we must support places like Winchester Hospitals Breast Care Center that provide essential services to women here in our own community."

Tickets are $200 each or $1750 for a table of 10 people. The Park Plaza Hotel is located at 64 Arlington Street in Bostons Back Bay. Valet parking is available.
