West Haven, CT Rotary Auction raises over $16,000 for community

The 16th Annual Rotary Club Auction on Saturday, April 26 was a great success, and raised over $16,000 for charity.

WEST HAVEN, CT, May 5, 2003 -- Going once, going twice...SOLD, to the bidder with the biggest heart! The 16th Annual Rotary Club Auction on Saturday, April 26 was a great success. The 200 plus attendees enjoyed good food and spirits, and had the opportunity to bid on 240 auction items, ranging from jewelry and gift certificates to Yankee tickets and oriental rugs. By the end of the evening, over $16,000 had been raised to benefit the Rotary Club's charitable projects in West Haven and internationally. "We were once again impressed by the generosity of this community," says Auction Chair Michael McGrath. "We had a great turnout, and I think everyone had a wonderful time in support of a great cause."
