AssetDB simplifies the collection of hardware and software information from remote computers, so network support staff can identify a users computer, hardware and software easily. It provides extensive information regarding the software installed, services, disk space history and memory utilization. The program also maintains a history of software and hardware changes.

In addition to scanning remote computers it allows control of the computers services and processes, to aid fixing problems remotely. The program can also be extended to use third party tools, such as a remote control system.
