FRAMES written by Neale Sourna
CAMPBELL is a charming and "reformed", self-indulgent woman magnet, who's never been completely in love and who has just finally left the unwanted and bewildering affair that cost him his marriage. But, most importantly, he's a very reluctant psychic with immense and untapped sorcerer capabilities.
Yet, Bell insists on believing he's simply a mural artist, skyscraper window washer, and very "normal" divorced father. He simply wants to find the, literal, girl of his (sensuously erotic) "dreams"--while ruthlessly disregarding and suppressing his overwhelming and maddening mental "gifts" from the Powers That Be. Energetic gifts that continue to refuse to stay suppressed, yet failed him in preventing his older brother's death. The identical, sixth sense of "seeing" the unseeable and "knowing" the unknowable that drove his father to hang himself.
Campbell's simple girl search ends with a frenzied pursuit of a disturbingly familiar young man--RONE, his very dead brother, who repeatedly won't stay completely dead. Rone leads him straight to his dream beauty, Ms. MALOY D'AQUINO, who's actively hiding from Campbell, because she too has "seen" and "known" him from their mutually shared dreams. She also comprehends that he's not ready for the frightening "unknowable" dangers to come. Maloy clearly yearns to be with Bell but past dangerous experiences of witchcraft & sorcery decimating her family inspire her to keep her distance, despite ghostly Rone hounding her to follow her heart and be with and help steady his erratic younger brother.
Her psychic abilities prove more skillfully controlled, if less rawly powerful than Campbell's, as he relentlessly pursues her to be his lover. With it becoming extremely apparent that the more he's attracted to and emotionally intimate with Maloy, the stronger and more out of control the powerful Energies within him grow and display themselves by affecting and restructuring physical reality near the two potential lovers.
Campbell adds to his own woe by his continuing lack of acceptance and control of his growing formidable Energies which attracts those who'd seize them and use them against him...and those he loves. Like exlover, FRAN SERPENTINI, who refuses to stay dumped and proves to be like a bloodstain he can't get rid of.
Fran's an ambitious, young "witch", who'd been successfully using the Craft and her body to fog his mind and emotions, keeping him divided from family, and triggering his divorce, until he sought out Maloy, who can temporarily shield him from psychic harm from Fran and the PowersTB. Fran's initial sexual attraction to him grows even more after she witnesses his other true Powers. She wants them, lusts for them, as well as the man, as she greedily learns to leech his Power, acquiring a taste for undetectable murder by magick, and how to viciously turn his own Energies against his young children, Maloy, and him as she plays on his fears and siphons his sanity.
Once he and Maloy have consummated their unusual bond, she cannot break away and must suffer whatever fate he does, as Campbell must quickly gain full mastery over his fears, himself, and his devastatingly powerful Energies, before Fran can forever chain him into psychic slavery and use him to fatally destroy his children. And, before Campbell's own carelessness forces the Powers That Be to remove the tie bonding him to Maloy, dissolving and blocking their relationship and their combined skills; and leave him without his Power, without his children, without Maloy, and without his sanity.
