Council Holds Youth Fair for Students Looking for Opportunities
The Adolescent Development Advisory Council (A.D.A.C.) will be holding its first Youth Fair for middle and high school students at the Childrens Museum of Tampa on May 17th, 2003 from 11:00am -- 1:00pm.
The A.D.A.C. Youth Fair welcomes youth from 10 -- 18 years of age who are looking for fun and exciting opportunities throughout the summer and school year. Opportunities being offered include weekly camps and programs, summer & school year employment, development workshops, volunteer hours for graduation requirements, local and national projects, and a multitude of other gratifying initiatives that can fill the calendar. At the Youth Fair, students will be given program descriptions, calendars, applications to fill out and a wealth of other descriptive materials that will assist in their decision making process.
The youth fair was designed to allow access to all students who want to take part in a number of opportunities being offered within cultural organizations and informal education institutions. These organizations and institutions include the Florida Aquarium, MOSI Science Center, the Childrens Museum of Tampa, Central City YMCA, Hillsborough County Library Services, Tampa Museum of Art, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lowry Park Zoo, Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa, and the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
