The Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute Announces Innovation Texas: The First Magazine to Profile Texas Progress,Trends and Assets in the Life Sciences

The Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute, (THBI), whose mission is to research, develop and advocate policies and actions that promote biomedical science, biotechnology, agriculture and medical device innovation in Texas, has announced the launch of Innovation Texas. Available June 15, 2003, the biannual magazine will provide the first statewide perspective on the progress, opportunities, and assets innate and emerging within Texas life sciences sector.

(PRWEB) May 8, 2003 -- The Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute, (THBI), whose mission is to research, develop and advocate policies and actions that promote biomedical science, biotechnology, agriculture and medical device innovation in Texas, has announced the launch of Innovation Texas. Available June 15, 2003, the biannual magazine will provide the first statewide perspective on the progress, opportunities, and assets innate and emerging within Texas life sciences sector.

Since the inception of THBI, our mandate has been to advocate on behalf of the totality of Texas life sciences community," stated Tom Kowalski, President, THBI. Over the last seven years our organization has seen significant progress in the growth of the sector with in the state. We believe the magazine will help to link the statewide community and educate the public on our significant and globally competitive life science assets."

The first issue of Innovation Texas will profile regions, emerging technologies and established leaders across the state. The current conditions and future of venture capital investing with in the sector will be explored, encompassing the opinions of Texas leading enterprises, venture investors, and emerging companies.
Copies of Innovation Texas are complimentary to THBIs membership base, industry supporters, and legislators. Initial distribution of Innovation Texas will encompass approximately 10,000 industry professionals, leading executives, scientists, professional services providers, and investors.
