Overview
From Ararat to America, a unique and unprecedented collection of works by 17 contemporary Armenian artists will be the featured exhibit at The Forest Lawn Museum in Forest Lawn-Glendale from April 26th through July 13, 2002. The exhibit is a celebration of Armenian art and artists in Los Angeles and coincides with the April 24th memorial to the Armenian Genocide. The artwork represented in the exhibit stems from a rich collection of forms and images, skills and attitudes that make up Armenian culture and heritage and add to the distinctive vision of the artists. The exhibit is open to the public at no charge seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
From Ararat to America" is part of Forest Lawn Museum presents events which are designed to bring a diverse mix of community, cultural, and historic art and artists to the greater Los Angeles community.
