NARI Member James Benoit Earns Certified Remodeler Title, Class of 2003

James Benoit completed the NARI Certified Remodeler (CR) course, which consists of an intensive 13-15 week training program ending in a full day examination. The CR course has been developed to provide a vehicle for Remodelers to improve their knowledge base and create a benchmark nationally. This designation qualifies the Remodeler to the client. The homeowner now has a pool of highly motivated and qualified Remodelers to choose from, and the industry finally has the credibility that it deserves.

Newtown Square, PA (PRWEB) May 11, 2003 -- James Benoit of Benoit & Czarnecki Design/Construction, LLC member of the Del-Chester Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) earns the designation of Certified Remodeler (CR) after an intensive training program and examination. The NARI CR program is designed to raise the bar in the remodeling industry and separate the pros from the masses.

The remodeling industry as a whole is sometimes seen in a bad light because of unqualified and unprofessional workers. Our hopes are for a national standardized training and examination process to set a benchmark in the industry. The CR course, which is very difficult, is an excellent way to draw that line between quality work and inferior work." said Jim Benoit, Construction Manager. The CR designation validates my 19 years of construction experience, as well as the extensive training that the course required. The CR also enhances my degree in Construction Technology. Our hope is that our employees will take advantage of our tuition reimbursement policy and pursue the NARI training programs. It really benefits all involved. Given the new and innovative methods and materials that are continually arising its crucial to stay abreast of them."

The NARI CR program lasts for 13-15 weeks, consisting of intensive study that covers all aspects of the industry. The participants are tested on their knowledge of every trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, Framing, etc), on all areas of design and layout, and on business management. The grueling course work ends with a full day cumulative final examination. Nationally there are only 897 Certified Remodelers. In addition, to the CR program, NARI has a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR) program, Certified Remodeler Specialist (CRS) program, Certified Remodeler Associate (CRA) program, Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC) program, and Certified Remodeling Carpenter (CRC) program.
