MineRay Systems Puts Human Interaction Back Into The Development Process
MineRay Systems creates dynamic websites and powerful web applications for businesses in all sectors. Applying the latest in web technologies, clients can now watch the development of their custom application in real time by monitoring an online project tree.
TACOMA, WA. "I wonder what my contractor is working on right now..." No longer is this question without an answer when companies who hire remote web development contractors award a new project.
MineRay Systems, an innovative young company which operates in the Internet/E-Commerce sector, seeks to put customers in direct contact with web developers at every step of their project.
When a customer awards a development project to MineRay Systems, the requirements analysis previously completed (free of charge) is broken into a series of tasks and phases, and recreated into an online project tree. Customers have secure access to this project tree, and can see exactly what step of the project their contractor is working on, as well as view screenshots of work in progress.
If certain phases of the project require approval and signoff before subsequent phases begin, the customer can review and approve the work directly in the project tree. Customers can also leave comments for certain tasks in the project tree for the developer to view.
In addition to the capability for approval and signoff, customers can also determine the priority of tasks and phases in the project tree, taking into account any dependencies a certain task may have. A private discussion board allows the customer and developer to communicate and discuss ideas, and integrated NetMeeting videoconferencing with shared whiteboard capabilities allow deep interaction.
"Our online project tree will be a real boon to customers who award us a project," says Eric Larsen, the owner and lead developer for MineRay Systems.
"Unlike a lot of other remote web development firms, we seek to put human interaction back into the development process. We feel that customers have a right to see their work in progress, just like a home owner can drive to the site of their new house being built and walk through its skeletal beginnings."
"We think customers will appreciate this new level of interaction, and they should have a greater feel for the fact that they are getting their money's worth."
MineRay Systems is based in the wired city of Tacoma, Washington, and can be found online at http://mineray.com. For questions about the company or its services, please email Eric Larsen at dev@mineray.com.
