CodeAmber.org Giving Away 10,000 Delux Child ID Kits

May 13, 2003 (Mandeville) -- CodeAmber.org, the Webs Amber Alert notification system, announced today an arrangement with Vision Media to provide Free Child ID Kits to up to 10,000 children. This is a great and generous gesture by Vision Media to help us provide these ID Kits to families for only the cost of delivery," Said Bryant Harper, Founder of CodeAmber.org.

Code Amber and Vision Media have been teaming up to produce Child Safety events since January, 2003. The Events are typically sponsored by a local business and draw up to 3,000 families during a two-day event. Vision Media provides on location staff and promotion for each event. During the Event, families are provided with digital fingerprinting, a DNA collection kit and an ID Kit at no charge just for visiting the event.

Our Code Amber Child Safety Events have been so well received, we decided we should offer the ID Kits through CodeAmber.org to people who are unable to attend an Event at no cost other than our delivery expense," said Scott Woods, CEO of Vision Media.

Anyone in the US and Canada may order these professionally developed ID Kits on the CodeAmber.org Web site. Each kit includes a clear vinyl case for safekeeping of the childs photo and fingerprints and comes with an approved ink strip for accurate fingerprinting. The Code Amber Child ID Kit was developed by forensic experts and is approved by the National Crime Information Center.

Code Amber provides Web site owners with a JavaScript news feed ticker that displays active Amber Alerts on their Web pages. The ticker contains all pertinent information about the victim, the law enforcement agency issuing the alert, and contact information for reporting sightings. Any available information about the perpetrator is also displayed. Code Amber has over 44,000 registered Web sites which served over 16,000,000 Amber Alert Tickers in March of 2003.
