NERO® International Welcomes NERO® Hartford

White Plains, NY -- May 13, 2003 -- Today NERO® International proudly announced the opening of a new NERO® chapter in Hartford, Connecticut.

NERO® Hartford will be led by Ed Kenny and Julie Hamilton. The staff comprises a half dozen NERO Massachusetts players with dozens of years of
experience in generating a operating an excellent campaign. The owners and staff of NERO® Hartford are looking forward to bringing Fairytales and Adventure to life through the services offered in their chapter, based on the rules and guidelines set forth by NERO® International. Players at NERO® Hartford can expect the highest level of costuming, roleplay, story lines and professionalism from the NERO® Hartford staff. The NERO® Hartford staff will be making an appearence at the Connecticon Convention in Connecticut in July 2003, partnering with Epic Adventures from Boston.

NERO®, the premier fantasy live action role-playing game in the United States and Canada today, is a mixture between The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Renaissance Faires. In operation since 1989, NERO® has 40+ Chapters Internationally that provide an enjoyable medieval/fantasy gaming atmosphere for people of all ages. Staff members create storylines and scenarios that can last anywhere from a few short hours to many months. Each player creates characters using the NERO® Rule Book©, but that are unique to each individuals creativity. At events, the Staff don medieval costumes and interact with the players, giving hints and clues about their plot and IG histories. The Players also done medieval costumes and interact with each other in a town environment putting together all the pieces of the puzzle to discover and solve the mysteries that lie within. Players acquire treasure along the way, in the form of Gold, Silver, and Magic Items (to name but a few) that can be used at any chapter. Players are also given the opportunity to engage in mock combat with mythological creatures such as, Goblins, Trolls, Ogres and many more, using the abilities and skills they have acquired through development of their characters.
