Cyber3D short listed for 'Start up of the Year 2003

Cyber3D has been short listed for 'Start up of the Year 2003 in the Local Business Awards for Richmond, London, UK

London, 13 May 2003, Cyber 3D is delighted to be have been chosen as a finalist in the Richmond Local Business Awards. Gary Lowrey, Chief Executive, commented With over 2000 votes and 139 entries to be one of four finalists for 'Start up of the Year 2003 is indeed a great achievement. Greater still, because the company was only formed last August by 10 individuals who met on the internet, created a virtual company and achieved the backing of Adobe a world leading software business. We have made a contribution to the local community already and are well positioned to help many more businesses promote their products and services."

Started in London just 9 months ago, Cyber3D has become a prominent leader in the design and development of 3D interactive and collaborative web sites. The company has achieved the support of Adobe and delivered its first website solutions already. It is on target to achieve its first year goals and is now co-located in Europe, USA and Australia.
Michael Kaplan, Director of Emerging Business for Adobe Atmosphere added: "Cyber3D is making an important contribution to the Adobe® Atmosphere beta program, and has drawn together a highly skilled team from across the world. I believe that the ideas and applications now being developed by them could have a significant commercial impact in the markets for 3D business applications using the Adobe® Atmosphere platform."

Cyber3D delivers 3D Interactive Internet Content and develops Software Tools to enhance the users experience with 3D Internet applications. Already, the company has delivered website solutions in the markets for Education, Entertainment and Commerce. Recently, it announced its entry into the e-Learning market with the delivery of the UKs first intelligent Internet robot for the new Adobe Atmosphere and is collaborating with a number of educational specialists on 3D Internet e-learning projects. In the field of Entertainment it has been working with the Music and Games industries developing 3D Internet Content and in the general commerce sector the company has been working with a number of local businesses.

Sophocles Alexiou of Pictorials, a local business in London who was one of Cyber3Ds first customers added: It has been an exciting and rewarding experience to work with Cyber3D in the creation of my 3D Picture Gallery and fascinating for me to meet virtual clients who tour the 3D Gallery. I can discuss their requirements over the Internet and present my work in a truly innovative and creative way. I am delighted as a local business that Cyber3D is a finalist for 'Start up of the Year 2003. I hope they win and wish them every success in the future."
