GalayOr appoints Dr. Alka Swanson and Prof. Alan Willner to its Advisory Board

Lod, ISRAEL 14th of May 2003 -- GalayOr (Light Waves" in Hebrew), a provider of low cost, mass producible and dynamically configurable, All-Silicon Integrated Optical Components, announced today that Dr. Alka Swanson and Prof. Alan E. Willner have joined the company's Advisory Board.
Most recently, Dr. Swanson worked for JDS Uniphase (NASDAQ:JDSU) as Vice President and General Manager of JDSs West Trenton site. In this role she managed more than 1000 employees and was responsible for 210% growth in revenue and 250% growth in profits in 4 quarters. Prior to that she was VP of Sales, Marketing and Project Management at JDS. Dr. Swanson also served for 5 years in AT&T labs. She earned her Ph.D. in Physics at Boston University, and was granted 4 patents.
Prof. Alan Willner received his Ph.D. from Columbia University, has worked at AT&T Bell Labs and at Bellcore, and is presently Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California. He received the Presidential Faculty Fellows Award from the White House, the Packard Foundation Fellowship, the National Science Foundation National Young Investigator Award, the Fulbright Foundation Senior Scholar Fellowship, and the IEEE LEOS Distinguished Traveling Lecturer Award. Prof. Willner is a Fellow of the Optical Society of America, is Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE/OSA Journal of Lightwave Technology, is General Co-Chair of the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, and has 400 publications.
