Granola Wizard Wraps Up Tigris Bars

The magic of whole, organic ingredients, and unique flavors is now available in an airtight package. Tigris Foods recently completed the introduction of a new package design for the Tigris Bar, the Tigris brand granola bar.

Fort Collins, CO (PRWEB) May 17, 2003 -- The magic of whole, organic ingredients, and unique flavors is now available in an airtight package. Tigris Foods recently completed the introduction of a new package design for the Tigris Bar, the Tigris brand granola bar.

The Granola Wizard, as Tigris Foods owner Ray Franklin is sometimes known, has been producing four varieties of premium granola bars since May of 2002. The original packaging was simply plastic wrap, applied by hand.

Plastic wrap doesnt seal, and the bars tended to dry out in a couple of weeks," Franklin said. The new package is a polypropylene bag that is heat-sealed. In the airtight bags, the bars will stay soft for their full life of six months or more.

The bars look better in this new packaging, and they are attracting more attention," Franklin said. The bag is clear, and easily shows the large bar inside. Each variety is identified by a bold stripe of color across the front label, with the variety name in white. A Tigris bar weighs 2.3 ounces.

The bars are made by hand from local homemade recipes containing simple, organic ingredients in unique flavor combinations. Almonds and coconut highlight the Coconut Keys variety, while COW-A-Bunga is a bold melding of cranberry, orange, and walnuts. Southern Latitudes offers a unique combination of vanilla and macadamia nuts, and Third Coast Crunch has the aroma of oranges and cinnamon with pecan. All four varieties contain oats, honey, brown rice syrup, oil, and sesame seeds.

The bars are available to both retail and wholesale consumers through the Tigris website, www.tigrisfoods.com. In addition, visitors to the website can register for the Tigris Organic Club, in which one winner every month will receive a free organic cotton t-shirt in the design of their choice.
