House DJ Spins RIPE Track on Saturday Nights

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 15, 2003 - The driving beat of RIPE's new edgy dance track Temptation echoed through the Gemini Lounge Saturday night as throngs of people swayed to the moans and groans of the seductive song. Temptation, the sexy new release from RIPE, has been added to the Saturday night rotation by the house DJ and shows a new sound for the up-and-coming band.

RIPEs unique sound has been called a blend of Dave Matthews and Vanessa Carlton with a touch of Dido and a sprinkle of Sugar Ray. RIPE has been bringing their tracks to the people, handing promo copies directly to NYC DJs and allowing fans to access shorter versions on their website, www.ripemusic.com. The response to RIPE's dance music has been extraordinary. "People just flip over the middle eastern/house/classical combo" says producer/creator Dan Bar Hava. "But the best part is I get to go to the clubs and watch people react when the music starts. They break away from conversation and spontaneously start dancing to the sound of the great half-cadence section."

Temptation, RIPE's dance project, is a mix of house-esque loops, middle-eastern rhythms and forbidden harmonies spun around the "Our father" prayer. Unique in format, all tracks were extracted from the main track (a 10 minute Club mix) to create hypnotic sound with loops that can be played by themselves, or under other tracks. "The minute I put Temptation on, everybody flocked to the dance floor," said DJ Aaron, after spinning the disk at a private after-hours party.
