Vortex Opens ACT Testing Center

This release concerns a new testing facility opening at the Vortex Data Systems technical education center. It will provde board certified testing for social workers, dieticians and nuclear medicine technicians.

Vortex Data Systems, San Diegos premier technical education center today announced that it has opened a new testing center that will offer a variety of professional high-stakes" testing in San Diego. High-stakes exams are those that are used to determine the exam-takers eligibility for certain scientific or health and human services jobs. Without passing these exams, job seekers are typically prohibited from employment in these critical fields, often because of state regulations. The ACT Testing Center at Vortex will be the only one of its kind centrally located in San Diego.

ACT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals attain their educational and career goals through assessment programs with solid research foundations. The career testing that will be available at Vortex includes Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Clinical Exams. Two exams, sponsored by the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and authorized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration will be available: Registration Examination for Dieticians (RD) and Registration Examination for Dietetic Technicians (DT). The Nuclear Medicine Technologists Certification Board Examination is also being offered.
