Power Alert® plugs into any standard 110/120 volt outlet. In the event of power loss the Power Alert® sounds a 120 decibel alarm for 20 minutes followed by a beep every 20 seconds for up to 7 days (depending on battery condition). A large face LED Clock-Timer records how long the power has been out up to 99.9 hours. The Timer is cumulative, so that if the power goes off and on several times, it records the total time it was out. The timer and alarm each have a manual reset button.
Power Alert® is also a surge protector with a resetable circuit breaker. It has two 3-prong sockets built in for convenient access. The Power Alert® is rated for a total 15 amps.
